Every engraving is prepared individually for your message and the watch you choose.
No two casebacks are quite the same. Existing logos, markings, available space, and the length of your message all affect the placement. We size and position each engraving to work with the design that is already there.
Designed around the watch
When a caseback already carries a logo or markings at its center, the engraving follows the space around them instead of covering the original design.
A note about finishes
Engraving can appear different depending on the caseback material, color, and finish. Silver, gold, rose gold, gunmetal, and other surfaces each interact with the engraving differently. These variations are normal and part of the character of the finished piece.
What fits on the back?
Every watch is different. We engrave watches with solid casebacks. Watches with see-through backs do not have the surface needed for engraving, so look for models marked “Engravable” while you shop.
Up to 50 characters
Available space varies by model. Some watches may accommodate less.
Shorter usually looks better
A short message can be engraved larger and more clearly. Longer messages are sized down to fit the available space.

How many characters can I use?

How much does engraving cost?
$35 per watch. A Watch Aces gift box with a printed message is available separately for $20.
How long does engraving take?
About 2 business days in addition to normal shipping time.
Can I return an engraved watch?
Personalized watches are final sale. If we make an engraving mistake, we will make it right.
Where is the watch engraved?
On the exterior of the solid caseback.
Will engraving damage my watch?
We engrave the exterior surface of the caseback. The watch does not need to be opened or disassembled for engraving.
Why can engraving look different from one watch to another?
Different caseback materials, colors, finishes, markings, and available space can produce different engraving results. Each engraving is prepared for the individual watch.
Can you engrave a watch I bought somewhere else?
No. We currently engrave watches purchased from Watch Aces.
Do you engrave straps or see-through casebacks?
No. Our engraving service is for suitable solid casebacks only.
